Little Madrid’s Culinary Adventure: A Flavorful Year in Review and Exciting Plans for 2024
It’s that time of year again, and just like you, we can hardly believe it! 2023 has flown by, and looking back, we’ve got a lot to be grateful for. This past September, Little Madrid was selected to receive TheRestaurants from Spain ICEX award from the Food and Wines from Spain (FWS) Academy, a prestigious award only given to restaurants that have achieved top-notch excellence and authenticity in Spanish cuisine. Additionally, we’ve had other noteworthy accolades in 2023: Eater Chicago included Little Madrid in their list of the Most Romantic Restaurants in Chicago as well as one of the Top Spanish Restaurants in Chicago!
Another big news update we’ve been anxious to share with you is that we’ve got a new location in the works. We started Little Madrid in the city with the bean, and now we’re expanding to Beantown. That’s right, Boston! We’re coming for you! We’re thrilled about our new location, and we can’t wait to share our tantalizing tapas and traditions with the wonderful Bostonians.
Francisco of course spent part of 2023 traveling around Spain in an effort to keep sharing, learning, and building on his creative recipes. He knows there is always a new way to present the flavors of Spain and his journeys from the heart to the coasts always inspire new creative angles.
Although we have a lot to be grateful for this holiday season, nothing compares to you, our amazing customers! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving us a sense of purpose and community, and we’re eternally grateful for your continued loyalty.
In 2024, we’ve got a lot of goals on our minds, and we’re reaching for the stars…namely…the Michelin stars. Stay tuned!
As always, we will continue our creative mission to enliven your taste buds with the authentic and colorful flavors of Spain. If you haven’t already, be sure to indulge in some gambas al ajillo, patatas bravas, or crema catalana this holiday season along with some sparkling conversation. I know that I personally can’t pass up the creamy and savory Croquetas de Francisco when I’m at Little Madrid.
